On Wednesday morning Justin Bieber sent his condolences to the family of a paparazzi photographer who was hit and killed by a car while trying to snap of a picture of his Ferrari on New Year's Day. In a strange twist, it's been revealed that Bieber wasn't even driving the car at the time, it was actually his pal Lil Twist behind the wheel.
According to TMZ Twist and Bieber had been hanging out at the Four Seasons hotel in Beverly Hills earlier in the day before the rapper took the white Ferrari for a spin without Bieber. The YMCMB rapper was pulled over during a traffic stop on Interstate 405 and cops reportedly asked the paparazzo to go back to his own vehicle twice before he agreed. He was struck by another car while crossing the street, attempting to return to his own car.
"While I was not present nor directly involved with this tragic accident, my thoughts and prayers are with the family of the victim," Bieber said in his statement. "Hopefully this tragedy will finally inspire meaningful legislation and whatever other necessary steps to protect the lives and safety of celebrities, police officers, innocent public bystanders, and the photographers themselves."
