From Justin to Justin! The original Prince of Pop, Mr. Timberlake, is releasing new music in 2013 and the Biebs gives his approval after a first listen, calling the new material ‘great music.’
It’s been 6 years since Timberlake released 2006′s FutureSex/LoveSounds, and on Thursday (January 10), he posted a minute-long video declaring that new music was on the way. Following that announcement, Justin Bieber made a quick comment via twitter:
“@jtimberlake @Timbaland i have heard some stuff. u got a good reason to be ready. #greatmusic.”
Justin Timberlake Begins Countdown To New Single
“I’ve only done two albums in 10 years,” Justin says in his announcement video, as he’s seen walking into a studio. “What does the next decade mean for me?”
“I don’t want to put anything out that I feel is something I don’t love,” he continues. “You just don’t get that every day. You have to wait for it. … I’m ready.”
Justin, 31, originally stirred up a fan frenzy Jan. 9 with a cryptic tweet alluding to his big release. ”Thursday, January 10th, 2013 at 9:01 am PST…” he tweeted to his more-than-15 million followers.
Then, on Jan. 10, Justin released the video, which started a countdown to the release of his brand new single on Jan. 14 at midnight!
When MTV asked Justin Bieber about his admiration for Timberlake few months back, he said:
“He [Timberlake] was young, and he did it and he was really amazing and had such amazing music. I can’t say I would be upset when someone compares me to him – I just feel like my music is going a completely different route. But definitely, hat goes off to him.”
