Earlier this month, 34-year-old actor James Franco made a video where he pretended to be the 18-year-old Justin Bieber, singing his song "Boyfriend" while frolicking with actress Ashley Benson.
The clip which he posted on his WhoSay site was later asked to be removed online
James Franco said in an interview with E! at Sundance:
“I was asked to take it down by some people. Bieber didn’t contact me, but I don’t think he was too happy. I wasn’t trying to diss him.
For what it's worth, Bieber reportedly hasn't even seen the parody. If he had, he's realize that there's nothing nasty or mean about the video. It's basically just Franco being weird and lip-syncing the single while Benson, who stars in "Spring Breakers" with Gomez, rubs herself all over him and humps the floor of what looks like a hotel room. It honestly just seems like Franco has an appreciation for today's pop music, as he can also be seen singing along to Gomez' "Love You Like A Love Song" in a different video. Gomez at least appreciated his sense of humor.
Hopefully Franco doesn't actually take down the video, which you can watch below. After all, it's not like he did anything wrong -- or anything many haven't done before him. Maybe it's not even he who should be apologizing, but rather Bieber's camp for not having a sense of humor.
